Clears Large Lines & Long Runs

The Rodrunner® sectional drain cleaner clears tough clogs in large lines and long runs with power and ease. This unique machine offers you two-way operation – up close or a walk behind machine. The Rodrunner has great features you’ll like – light weight, high speed cable rotation, and short quick-coupling cables.

 

Two Way Operation

For close-up work when quarters are tight, the wheel brake is set, the foot pedal is placed next to the machine to allow you to keep both hands free to control the cable, and the rear cable guide hose keep the floors clean as you work. The Rodrunner can handle the toughest stoppages in 3-10″ lines, as far as 200 feet away.

However, on easier jobs where you have some working room, you can run the machine “lawn-mower” fashion, by standing behind the machine. Just lock the chuck jaws onto the cable and walk behind the machine as it spins each cable section into the drain line. The open coils screw into the line making it easier to clear long lines with less effort.

Sectional cables for the Rodrunner snap together in seconds and are taken apart quickly with a coupling wrench. They are available in a variety of lengths and connectors for General and competitive brands.

RodRunnerA heavy-duty 3/4 hp motor with capacitor and overload protection spins cable at 700 rpm, an ideal speed for self-feeding into the line while protecting the cable against sudden torque build-ups. For additional protection, the Rodrunner has an adjustable slip clutch, which is factory set at 18-20 ft. lbs.

An optional set of jaws (R-R10AD) enables the Rodrunner to drive 15 ft. x 7/8″ (15R10) cables to clear smaller lines.

Basic Unit Only (No Cables or Cutters)

Two Way Chuck Handle

Locked down against cable, you have both hands free to hold the cable. This is a real help when pulling cable out of the line.

Pneumatic Power Switch

Power switch is located on handle for storage and use in “walk-in” operation. For close-up work, it’s removed from handle for use as a foot switch.

Cable Feeding Tool

It enables cable to get around tight bends and traps by taking advantage of open-wound design of cables. Note that operator controls machine by using power switch in foot pedal mode.

Folding Handle

Rodrunner weighs less than 100 lbs., so it’s easy to move to and from the job. Folding handle gives a low profile for more convenient storage on truck.

Options

Cables

Sectional cables for the Rodrunner snap together in a second and are taken apart quickly with a coupling wrench or coupling key. The open coils screw into the line making it easier to clear long lines with less effort. They are available in a variety of lengths and connectors for General and competitive brands. With the more recently developed “G” connector, no torque is put on the locking pin when running the machine in reverse, making it a more durable coupling.

Flexichain™ Sections

Quick-coupling 1-1/4” Flexichain sectional cables work with General’s Model 88™ or Rodrunner®. The heavy-gauge, right-hand wound coil enables fast self-feeding, while the chain center ensures flexibility and prevents cable loss. Available in 10 ft. lengths with “G” Connector.

Proflex cables have the same 1-1/4” outer cable as the Flexichain cables, for use with the same machines. An inner spring enables the cable to better handle motor torque and has better “push” when working though tough stoppages. They are available in 8 or 10 ft. lengths. (Shown with “L” Connector)

Hollow Sections

Hollow 1-1/4” sections with T-Slot couplings are available in standard or heavy duty versions. They are available in 15 ft. lengths or the new 5 ft Force Multiplier. See below for more information. (Shown with “R” Connector)

ClogChopper®

Rip through tough stoppages with the unique ClogChopper® multi-function cutting tools. Six self-sharpening blades dig into encrusted debris and root masses, easily grinding up stoppages, scale, and crystallized urine, without risking pipe damage.
