General’s Reliable, Economical JM-1000 Mini-Jet™ Helps Bible Camp Pulverize Clogs, Boosting Maintenance Efficiency – Inside and Out

“What previously took three days with a garden hose, took about three hours with our JM-1000 Mini-Jet™ drain cleaner!”

That’s Scott Larson, director of Faith Haven Camp, Inc., on the compact, powerful water jet from General Pipe Cleaners.

With wife Lisa, he manages the 65-year-old facility. Scott also handles maintenance.

A non-denominational Bible camp in Minnesota’s scenic “lakes country,” Faith Haven sits on the north edge of Eagle Lake, just south of Battle Lake, MN. Principally focusing on youth ministry, the year-round Christian facility also serves visiting adult groups, congregational retreats, and family reunions.

A Recurring Hazard

But every spring Faith Haven faces chronic issues with freezing 2”, 3”, and 4” outside drainage lines.

Failure to clear the ice, Scott quickly adds, could let excess snow melt enter camp buildings – risking expensive structural damage.

He initially tried garden hoses to clear the clogs. But that literally took days.

Solution Works!

“Every day spent unclogging those lines steals time from crucial mission work,” Scott stresses. “We had to establish priorities.”

That’s when a local excavation contractor suggested that Faith Haven try his JM-1000 – smallest in General’s respected Jet-Set® range of powerful electric, gas, and trailer water jets.

“It worked great!” Scott smiles. “And that’s why we bought our own Mini-Jet!”

Problem Solved!

Excellent for clearing ice, sludge, sand, and sediment from small, outside 1-1/2” to 4” lines up to 50 feet long, the potent, portable little electric jet proved perfect for the job.

With 1500 psi of cleaning power, General’s powerful little JM-1000 batters blockages with a wall-to-wall stream of high-pressure water, flushing clogs away.

Scott remains especially impressed with how effectively JM-1000 navigated lines – including two, 90-degree bends.

“Nozzle thrust literally drove the hose into and down the lines!” he recalls.

General’s tough stainless steel braid hose design smoothly slides the jet nozzle down 1-1/2” to 4” drain lines – and easily traverses tight turns. The 3/16” Teflon core also reduces flow resistance, further boosting small line cleaning power.

Handy Inside, Too

With lots of unsupervised guests using kitchen, lavatory, and laundry areas, Scott admits that “stuff sometimes goes down drains that shouldn’t.”

But with the JM-1000, Faith Haven packs a quick, convenient tool to tackle grease, scum, and similar “soft” stoppages from inside lines, too.

“Now we have General’s Mini-Jet, ready to clear any sudden grease and fat clogs in our kitchen drains!” Scott winks.

Superb For Ongoing Maintenance

The pioneering JM-1000 packs plenty of cleaning power in a compact package, yet weighs just 23 lbs.

Carry it right to troubles – no wheels required. Its rugged diamond plate metal case safely shields the pump and motor assembly from common workplace abuse.

General’s standard JM-1000 package sports a 4-piece nozzle set, water supply hose, shut-off valve, and universal faucet adapter. Safety features include a 3-wire Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter. And a variety of accessories, like an optional spray wand, are available.

Even More Savings Expected

Scott Larson expects Faith Haven’s JM-1000 to pay for itself. And he calls it a “huge blessing”.

“It will help save us money and time by not having to hire outside contractors to clear our drain lines,” he concludes. “Now we have the maintenance tool to work more productively – and to control expenses!”
