Compact, Powerful JM-1000™ Water Jet Tackle Tough Job For Widow Of Military Veteran

Four hours of snaking couldn’t clear a kitchen clog.

The local VA’s maintenance man would run the cable. The sink would drain – then back up again.

That’s when owner Jeff Hankins of Steve’s Service Plumbing in Nampa, ID arrived with a JM-1000 Mini-Jet™ from General Pipe Cleaners.

“It was a special job for the widow of a military veteran,” he recalls. “And I refused leave until we cleared the obstruction for her – permanently.”

Results In Less Than Ten Minutes

Hankins guessed that heavy sludge blocked the 1-1/2” galvanized line – and that the grease stoppage slowly reformed after snaking.

One of his employees doubted that the Mini-Jet would clear the clog, he says. “But I figured it was the perfect problem for the JM-1000 to tackle.”

The compact, lightweight JM-1000 Mini-Jet is excellent for clearing grease, sand, sediment and ice from small, 1-1/2 to 3 inch lines – up to 50 feet long. It’s great for clogged kitchen, bathroom and laundry drains.

With 1500 psi of cleaning power, General’s powerful little water jet hits sticky stoppages with a wall-to-wall stream of high-pressure water – and flushes them away.

In less than ten minutes, Hankins had the lady’s line running free and clear.

“You should have seen the look on my employee’s face!” he chuckles. “Now he’s a Mini-Jet believer!”

Water Jets Help Boost Business & Efficiency

Jeff Hankins makes water jets an integral part of his business – and has two JM-1000 Mini-Jets for his three trucks.

“Our water jets are extremely versatile,” he says. “They’re faster and easier than cable machines on many common clogs.”

Equipment reliability and efficiency remain critical to Hankins’ bottom line. He charges a flat-rate for drain cleaning – and must “do more jobs in as little time as possible for maximum profit.”

Hankins also offers a supplemental, one-year water jet cleaning warranty to ensure clog-free lines. “We couldn’t offer that without a reliable water jet like the JM-1000!”

Technology Aids Productivity

“General’s nozzle head design really helps negotiate twists and turns – even on screwed-on galvanized fittings,” Hankins notes.

Pulse technology helps slide the hose around tight bends and down lines. It breaks the initial tension between the hose surface and pipe walls, increasing cleaning power – and separates General’s Jet-Set® from ordinary pressure washers.

Hankins likes the Mini-Jet’s compact size, too.

“Our plumbers often find themselves alone on jobs,” he says. “So they need equipment that’s easy to transport and handle – machines designed for efficient, one-man operation.”

As large as most toolboxes, the JM-1000’s rugged, diamond plate metal case with pump and motor assemblies measures just 24” L x 10-1/2” D x 11” H. At just 23 lb, it’s easy-to-carry, maneuverable in tight spots and takes up little room in the truck.

Rubber feet help protect delicate counter tops. And key safety features include a sensor to stop the motor if water stops flowing, and a 3-wire Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter.

Jeff Hankins prizes the tool’s “trust factor”. “We like the JM-1000: it’s really affordable and versatile!”
